Our Story

FRC 1410 was founded in 2004, and has been striving to educate high school students since. In recent years, the Kraken has shifted its focus to both competitiveness and inclusion. With initiatives to bring in students from all backgrounds and to make them feel more at home on our team. We strive to make role models, leaders, and innovators for years to come, just as we have since 2004.

Our Mission

FRC Team 1410 “The Kraken” strives to educate high school students from all backgrounds in both STEM and professional skills such as time management, communication skills, and team leadership. We do this by being completely student-led, student-operated, and student-driven. We empower and inspire students to take initiative in STEM and beyond.

Functional Offering

A strong education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, programming, data analysis, and/or business.

Emotional Offering

You will be given opportunities for growth and support from peers and the ability to create and share knowledge, to be inspired, and to shape your future

Audience (Who We Are For)

Team 1410 | The Kraken is for any student who wants to learn more about STEM skills in a hands-on manner, even if they have no experience.
